Blue Anchor Poetry Walk

The Blue Anchor Poetry Walk

The Blue Anchor Poetry Walk begins at The Blue Anchor library. Walkers are asked to meet in the reception area by 2pm.

The walk should take around 90 minutes, weaving around until it ends at Southwark Park, which is a short walking distance from the starting point. Your guide will be stopping at points of interest on the way to give a bit of information about the heritage of each place, and to read or perform a poem that relates to that spot and/or its history. Some of the poems are by well-known writers, some hidden gems – hopefully, something for everyone.

Walkers are asked to come prepared for outdoor weather with appropriate footwear.
