Our farmyard is set to be transformed with local craft stalls selling all sorts of Christmas gift ideas. The ever popular Peach Brandy sold by the local Church stall will be in attendance. Get there early!
Warm up in our river room and get creative making your own Christmas wreath.
The bar will be serving mulled wine and warm spiced apple juice and weโll have home-made soup on sale.
Christmas Tree
Christmas Tree sale will be back by extremely popular demand. There will be three sizes on sale to fit all budgets (and bus rides home!). Based on previous sellout last year we suggest you arrive at 11am to avoid disappointment. For more information about our trees click here.

The whole Farm will be open as usual so you can wonder around and say hello to all our animals and purchase bags of feed from the shop to feed the goats, sheep, pigs and poultry.
In addition our livestock team will be creating a special area where you can go in with our smaller animals โ including rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, turkeys, chickens etc โ for cuddles and strokes! (ยฃ1 entry).
Weโll also be offering donkey rides on the lovely Alice and Hermione along the Thames (ยฃ2 a ride for under 8โs).

About Surrey Docks Farm
Surrey Docks Farm is a working city farm in the heart of London. It occupies a beautiful 2.2 acre site on the south bank of the river Thames in Rotherhithe.
The farm is an ideal setting and environment for environmental activities throughout the calendar year. There is always something interesting to see at the farm, no matter what the season or weather.
The farm works with local communities and the people of Southwark to provide many unique opportunities for people to learn about farming, food production, and be actively involved in the ongoing working life of the farm.
Animals reared on the farm include a herd of goats, sheep, cattle, pigs, ducks, geese, chickens, turkeys, bees and donkeys. The herds, flocks and swarms are farmed with specific attention to animal welfare at all times.
There are a variety of green and horticultural attractions at Surrey Docks Farm. We have an orchard, herb garden, dye garden, vegetable plots, and the wildlife area. All horticulture areas of the farm double as educational space.
The farm prides itself on having an open animal yard where members of the public can interact with our goats, sheep and chickens. The open yard was upgraded in 2014 to facilitate a safe and clean environment for both our visitors and animals.
[alert color=”grey”]Surrey Docks Farms is open 7 days a week, from 10am til 4pm
Entry to the public is FREE, although we do encourage visitors to give a donation of ยฃ3 per person to help contribute to our running costs. Donations can be made in the Farm Shop or through donation churns around the site.
If you are intending to visit us in a group please take a look at the Group Visits page.
Please note the Piccalilli Caffโ in the farm is closed on Mondays.[/alert]
The award winning Piccalilli Caff is our onsite resident caff. We operate a beekeeping workshop in the summer months, โPiccalilli Caffโ, working blacksmithโs forge and adult education rooms. We have a fully equipped classroom used by schools from across London.
The farm is managed by the Surrey Docks Farm Provident Society Ltd, a tax exempt charitable organisation registered with the Financial Services Authority, and recognised as charatable by HM Revenue & Customs (registration number 22829R).
Current patrons of the Society include the Bishop of Southwark and Sir Simon Hughes. The Society particularly encourages membership applications from local people to ensure they are at the forefront of what is essentially a local community project. Committee members of the Provident Society are elected at the Annual General Meeting.
