Southwark Park Galleries, new name for CGP London

Over the last 35 years, Southwark Park Galleries (formerly known as CPG London) have commissioned and hosted exhibitions by internationally renowned artists including Cornelia Parker, Richard Wilson, Sutapa Biswas, Marcus Coates, Sarah Pickstone, Tai Shani, Ackroyd and Harvey, Marcia Farquhar, Grayson Perry and many other established artists as well as being a platform to new art and community projects by local people.

The gallery have officially changed their name to Southwark Park Galleries to include the Lake Gallery (formerly The Gallery) situated by Southwark Parkโ€™s lake and new Pavilion cafe (launching in summer 2019) and the Grade II listed building in the southwest corner of Southwark Park Dilston Gallery (formerly Dilston Grove)

Bermondsey Artistsโ€™ Group

Established in 1983 The Bermondsey Artistsโ€™ Group (BAG) is an artist-led initiative that supports Southwark Park Galleries and creates opportunities for artists who live, work or study in Southwark

Southwark Park Galleries (formely CGP London) have commissioned and presented over 160 free exhibitions by emergent, overlooked and established British and international artists.

Their art programmes enable all members of the community to fully participate and have open access to contemporary art.



As a registered charity and Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation, it is supported by the London Borough of Southwark

Southwark Park Galleries rely on key support from various Trusts, Foundations, sponsors, sales of art, donations and venue hire to sustain our ambitious programme of contemporary art, community engagement and education.

How to get there

Underground:
Canada Water on the Jubilee and London Overground Lines or Surrey Quays on the London Overground. Canada Water station is seven minutes walk from Southwark and Surrey Quays is six minutes walk to The Gallery.
Buses:
1, 47, 188, 199, 225, 381, P12, C10. All stop at Canada Water station.
Car/taxi:
Enter Southwark Park via the Southwark Park Road entrance. Parking in the park.
Rail:
South Bermondsey.
