Southwark Park 150th Anniversary with Southwark Park Association 1869

Southwark Park first opened its gates to the public in 1869, and was one of the earliest parks to be opened by the Metropolitan Board of Works. Southwark Park Association 1869 is hosting a series of events in June 2019 to commemorate the anniversary of our most loved park in SE16.

Talk: 150 years of Southwark Park

Pat Kingwell will be addressing the audience with an interesting and entertaining talk about the history of the park, key milestones and many other stories worth listening to.



Music: Rotherhithe and Bermondsey Choral Society Concert

RBCS is a friendly non-audition mixed-voice amateur community choir based in Rotherhithe, Southwark, south-east London.Their aim is to practise and perform good music to suit a variety of tastes, and have a good time in the process.
