Remembrance services 2018
At the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month. The Two Minute Silence is observed on Armistice Day, the day which marks the end of the First World War.
Everyone is welcome to attend the remembrance services taking place in West Lane in SE16, Borough High Street in SE1 and Burgess Park
Bermondsey & Rotherhithe Remembrance Sunday in West Lane

In 1915, the 22nd battalion set off to take part in the Great War in which hundreds of Bermondsey men fought on the Western Front and in the Salonika Campaign in the Balkans. By the end of the war, 970 Bermondsey men fighting in the regiment had died. Their names are inscribed on the memorial located at West Lane. This Sunday there will be a ceremony to show tributes to those who died in battle.
Remembrance Service at Holy Trinity Church Rotherhithe

1918 – 2018 Did members of your family from Rotherhithe fight in the First World War? That war ended 100 years ago this November and, throughout the month, display panels in the church will tell some of the stories behind the names that appear on the War Memorial.
If you have any information or stories about anyone who is named on the Memorial please get in touch with Ed or Andrew. They would like to add to their display in future years. (churchwardens@holy-trinity-rotherhithe.org.uk)
Holy Trinity Church Remembrance Day Service will start at 9:30 am. The service will be followed by an Act of Remembrance around the War Memorial at 10:55 am.
Remembrance Sunday at City Hope Church

Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day The official borough service for Remembrance Sunday will take place at St Saviourโs War Memorial, Borough High Street, London SE1, on Sunday 11 November 2018 at 10.50am, ahead of the nationwide two minute silence at 11am. Guests are asked to assemble by 10.45am and the service will be followed by light refreshments at The George Inn, George Inn Yard, 77 Borough High Street, SE1 1NH.
