Meet Me on the Radio – Till 31 Dec 2020

Meet Me on the Radio is a new weekly radio show featuring sonic journeys through south London, news and sounds from the Albany garden, creative activities, provocations, and conversations with members and artists. It is broadcast every Tuesday at 11.30am โ€“ 12 midday on South London community radio station Resonance FM and is produced in partnership with Soundcamp, an artist collective exploring audio experiences.

Meet Me on the radio

In normal circumstances, the Albany and Entelechy Artsโ€™ award-winning programme for over 60s, Meet Me atโ€ฆ takes place at the Albany in Deptford, and in sheltered accommodation sites, community centres and in peopleโ€™s homes around Lewisham. Usually, the weekly arts club includes a choir, gardening activity, films and live events and performance. With COVID-19 presenting serious risks for older people, the programme stopped meeting in person in March 2020.

With many members of the Meet Me atโ€ฆ community already at risk of social isolation and without access to digital devices, the show will provide a vital, accessible and regular source of connection and entertainment led by the creative voices of vulnerable adults in challenging times.

Anyone of any age is invited to listen, so put your feet up, tune in and enjoy a collective listening experience.

Listen to Meet Me on the Radio every Tuesday 11:30am-12 midday on Resonance FM, 104.4 FM (central London) and Resonance FMโ€™s website worldwide from 2 June 2020 to 31 December 2020

Part of the Albany and Entelechy Artsโ€™ award-winning programme for over 60s, Meet Me atโ€ฆ, which since March 2020 has developed into a programme of activity delivered to and accessed from the safety of peopleโ€™s homes to include telephone choir, knitting and making groups; Albany Garden planting and produce deliveries;  and activity care boxes.
