Get Involved in the Canada Water Masterplan Consultation
The consultation process is facilitated by Soundings and will involve the community at each stage of design development to help inform the proposals. From agreeing local priorities and masterplan principles at the start; right through to fine-tuning the masterplan before it is submitted for planning and making the Statutory Consultation locally accessible.

Next steps
Southwark Council has validated the outline planning application that was recently submitted for the Canada Water Masterplan. This also includes a detailed planning application for the projectโs first three buildings (A1, A2 and K1). The statutory consultation period has now begun. Please click here for more information on the planning application and how to submit a formal comment.
Planning Application drop-in sessions
In addition to Southwark Councilโs statutory consultation process, we would like to ensure that the planning documents are easily available locally and help increase accessibility to them for all, including those with commitments, limited internet access or less experience of the planning process.
We will be holding a number of planning application drop-in events at the Canada Water Masterplan Hubย opposite Tescoย in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, where theย planningย documents will be available, and the team will be on hand to guide you to the information you need.ย Full event details are below.

Project Timeline
Community consultation started in Spring 2014. There have been over 40 events to date and over 3,000 people have been involved. The Canada Water Masterplan team will work together with the community up to and beyond submitting aย planning application, continuing to involve the community in the development of the masterplan.
