Taking place in the beautiful Southwark Park, Bermondsey Carnival 2018 will bring an exciting programme of music, dance and events to Southwark Park this summer.
Organised in partnership with Bermondsey Beat and The Friends of Southwark Park with great live music, traditional funfair, delicious world foods, fun activities from community partners, a family zone and childrenโs dance tentย – there will be plenty of activities and performances to entertain the whole family.
Bermondsey Carnival 2018 welcomes a fantastic line up of artists.ย
As one of Southwarkโs most popular annual events and now one of Londonโs best free summer events, Bermondsey Carnival will be returning to Southwark Park bandstand with a whole host of festival fun for everyone. The carnival is a great big family day out and once again Bermondsey Beat have created a great music programme for the occasion.
Alongside Bermondsey Beatโs fantastic array of live acts on the Bandstand, there is so much more to do for all the family.
The Bermondsey Carnival will have the Rumble in the Jumble, its very own mass jumble sale where you might be lucky enough to find a hidden treasure and Reuben Bonds Victorian Fun Fair with all sorts of rides and games to keep you busy throughout the day.
There will be plenty of street food and drinks outlets to choose from and many community organisations and local businesses will have a stall in the park.
Plus this year we have the Plaza Latina stage celebrating the Latin American community with music dance and food from South America.
The Create and Play Zone
An assortment of talented artists, performers and designers providing a multitude of engaging things to do

- Totally Wild Foraging Adventure walks running throughout the day (12.30pm – 1.30pm – 2.30pm – 3.30pm)
- Jumping Bean Stories and Rhyme Tent (12.15pm – 1.15pm – 2.30pm – 3.30pm – 4.30pm)
- Make Theatre with London Bubble Theatre. Turn yourself into a story gatherer, a story teller, a character creator or a history maker In the beautiful Bubble Yurt throughout the day from: 12pm to 4pm.

Mancie Baker

Mancie Baker is a singer songwriter from London. Still only 17 she has been writing and performing for four years to audiences ranging from thirty local pub patrons to over thirty thousand at last years Car Fest. The reaction is always the same to her astonishing repertoire of wonderfully crafted songs, occasionally comprising the odd smart cover.
Her music, both on record and live has been prominently featured on Dermot OโLeary and Chris Evansโ Radio Two shows.
She recorded one of her earliest songs, 6am, with The Strypes Josh McClorey and recently supported UK rock legends Squeeze in concert.

Abba Gold Girls

Bonita Delaney and Suzanne Ayliffe are the girls from Abba Gold, the renowned Abba Tribute band who have enjoyed performing to enormous crowds worldwide since the mid-nineties, headlining theatres, concert arenas and festivals throughout. As a duo they regularly tour the Europe and UK festival circuit, delighting audiences, recreating the Abba magic with their energetic shows.

Louis Hoover is the original star of the West End and Broadway smash hit show, the Rat Pack live from Las Vegas, that has sold over 16 million tickets worldwide. Louisโs solo show, Salute to Sinatra tours all over the world including sell out shows at the London Palladium and Royal Albert Hall.
Providing the perfect accompaniment for Louis Hoover’s quality as a world class performer are the virtuoso musicians of the Hollywood Orchestra, who over the years have performed with such luminaries as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme, Shirley Bassey, Matt Monro and Sir Cliff Richard to name but few of the very best who have shared the stage

Getting there
Bermondsey Carnival takes place in Southwark Park around the bandstand, in the north area of the park. It is a combination of large expanses of grass with tarmac paths. There are sheltered areas (marquees) and non-sheltered areas. Weather and ground conditions may be variable.
There is very little parking around the park and we suggest that visitors make use of the brilliant public transport around the park.
Cycle parking is now in the events site near the bandstand.
Disabled badge parking and a drop-off/pick-up point for disabled people is available on site via the entrance on Southwark Park Road.
Accessible toilets will be available on site, all of which will be signposted.

Underground Bermondsey 0.3 miles Canada Water 0.5 miles
Overground Canada Water 0.5 miles | Surrey Quays 0.6 miles
Bus Bus stops nearby: 1, 47, 188, 255, 381, C10, P12. The Canada Water bus terminal in only 0.5 miles
Train South Bermondsey station 1.7 miles

Disabled Access
This outdoor festival takes place in a public park made up of tarmac roads, gravelled and grass areas.
Accessible toilets are available on site.
Blue badge parking is available in they park via the Southwark Park Road entrance.
