Jean Stanford and and Natalie Webb are the names for these two new exhibitions hosted by Madda and Felice, owners of this popular cosy cafe in Albion Street, just a few minutes walk from Rotherhithe and Canada Water stations.
Jean Stanford presents Art Among Friends
Jean is an amateur artist attending classes in Rotherhithe and Southwark.
She enjoyes painting and likes portraits in particular. A group of friends accepted her invitation to exhibit together at the Cafe.
They are Pat Mynott with her delightful knitted people; Beryl Phillips with a still; Wendy Burgess with delicate flower studies and Chris Hyde with her comic studies of Deptford Market and mixture of paintings and a few portraits by Jean herself.

Natalie Webb is a designer and local artist in her spare time. Her installation form a collage of images that aims to bring distant memories of her visits to the seaside.
There a magic about the sea, people are drawn to it. Any time of the year the beach is a great place to people watch. These paintings follow the beach through the seasons.
