Don’t be alone at Christmas

[df-subtitle]People Care Christmas party at Baconโ€™s College[/df-subtitle]

Don’t be alone at Christmas and join the People Care Christmas party. Every year the festive season can be a hard time for local residents who might be on their own on Christmas Day. Thanks to Southwark People Care Association who hosts a Christmas Party for them, they will also be part of the celebrations.

The volunteer-run charity has been holding the party since before WWII – helping to reduce loneliness and social isolation for countless people over the years. They provide with a good traditional Christmas Dinner and lots of great entertainment as part of the festivities. Those residents who might need transport will be able to use the door-to-door travel, to and from the venue, facilitated by the Association.

  • Doors open from 11am on Christmas Day. There will be entertainment and tea so everyone can get in the festive mood
  • Christmas dinner is served from 1pm plus entertainment will continue after the meal

The party is held in the large Sports Hall at Baconโ€™s College (scroll down for free guest transport and directions)

Thereโ€™s a free raffle on the day with lots of prizes, big and small plus there will be an entertainer so you may well find yourself singing or even dancing along to some old favourites!
