Consultation: CLOUD X Live, CLOUD X Festival and Reggaeton Festival 2025 at Southwark Park
Stakeholder Consultation Announced for Major-Scale Event in Southwark Park
Southwark Council has received an application from CLOUD X Sound Ltd, an event promoter, seeking permission to host a large-scale event in the south side of Southwark Park in July 2025.
To align with the council’s Outdoor Events Policy, Cultural Strategy, Borough Plan, and Southwark 2030 Strategy, the Events team is conducting a public consultation with stakeholders to gather input on the proposed application and event plans.
Southwark Council encourages members of the public to share their views on whether this event should proceed and to provide suggestions on how it can be effectively managed. Your feedback is important in assisting the council in making an informed decision.

Brand new, paid-ticketed, three day event
The event promoter ‘Cloud X Sound Ltd’ has submitted an event application to hold a brand new, paid-ticketed, three day event in Southwark Park in early July 2025.
Cloud X Sound Ltd is an international music entertainment company, committed to being inclusive and progressive. Built around a London-based record label and set up by LGBT+ & POC founders, David Dabieh and Ben Cross, CLOUD X platforms exceptional artists and develops talent. David & Ben are both proud South Londoners, with David growing up on the Heygate Estate and now living opposite Southwark Park on Lower Road and Ben growing up in Tulse Hill & now living in Nunhead.
Programme
The event would take place on the 4-6 July and feature the following programme:
Friday 4 July – CLOUD X Live
- Opening hours: 12-10:30pm
- Cloud X Live will consist of musicians performing live.
- Genres: Pop/HipHop/RnB/Soul & World Music
Saturday 5 July – CLOUD X Festival
- Opening hours 12-10:30pm
- CLOUD X Festival is a family-friendly event.
- Genres: RnB, Soul and Alternative Rap
Sunday 6 July – Reggaeton Festival
- Opening hours 12-10pm
- Showcasing some of the biggest stars of the Latin community, this event will promote Latin culture and music.
- Genres: Latin, Reggaeton, World Music

Consultation on Event Licensing and Proposals in Southwark Park
In accordance with the council’s Outdoor Events Policy, Southwark Council is conducting a consultation to gather feedback on the following:
- Whether to issue an events license
- Event proposals and suggestions for improving those proposals
The council aims to share details of this consultation widely to ensure a diverse range of opinions is collected. Individuals who may be interested in participating are encouraged to visit the designated web page.
To enhance awareness of the consultation, Southwark Council is taking several steps, including:
- Sending letters to 3,572 properties in the vicinity of the park
- Posting public notices throughout the park
- Providing a copy of the consultation documents at the park’s cafรฉ for public viewing during operating hours
- Sharing information on the councilโs website: Ticketed events in parks | Southwark Council
All responses received will be recorded and reviewed, culminating in a ‘consultation findings report.’ While individual responses may be referenced in the report, any information that could personally identify respondents will be removed or redacted. The report is scheduled to be published by March 31, 2025, through the following channels:
- Posting on the designated web page
- Sending electronically to all contacts on the Southwark Park stakeholder register
- Sending electronically to all participants in the consultation who have provided an email address
The Events team at Southwark Council looks forward to receiving feedback by the closing date of March 7, 2025.
