Canada Water Theatre presents They Call Me Max

Fresh from the release of their debut EP, They Call Me Max bring you a showcase of brand new original material.

Sitting somewhere between jazz, classical and trip-hop, They Call Me Max is a project centred on piano compositions, intimate lyrical narratives and hip-hop inspired beats.

Led by Max on keys and vocals, the band features Efe, a Turkish bass player, Nikita, a Ukrainian synth dude and general production wizard, and Arlen, a gangly stick-insect who is known to be tight on the beats. The band forms a tight knit group, representative of the multi-cultural metropolis in which they were formed.

Expect to hear heart-breaking stories, head banging beats, the occasional funky bass line and an abundance of luscious, ethereal sounds.

Their debut EP, Start Small is out now on all digital platforms and is available for download on iTunes and Bandcamp.

The Albany is supported by PRS for Music Foundation.
